slow release nitroglycerin tablet

Description: Myonit SR - Sustained release tablets are preferred in long term management of Angina. Due to the matrix technology, effective concentrations are maintained for a prolonged period of time & adequate nitrate free period is also maintained. Chances of tolerance development are less due to this. The principal pharmacological action of nitroglycerin is relaxation of vascular smooth muscle.

Nitroglycerin forms free radical nitric oxide (NO) that activates guanylate cyclase, resulting in an increase of guanosine 3'5' monophosphate (cyclic GMP) in smooth muscles and other tissues. These events lead to dephosphorylation of myosin light chains, which regulate the contractile state in smooth muscles and result in vasodilatation.

Composition: Each uncoated tablet contains: Concentrated Glyceryl Trinitrate Solution Equivalent to Glyceryl Trinitrate 2.6 mg/6.4 mg (In a controlled release system).

Indication: Indicated for the prophylaxis of angina pectoris due to coronary artery disease.

Features: Manufactured by unique Matrix Technology. It provides optimum Nitroglycerin level for extended period of time with adequate nitrate free interval to avoid tolerance. Preferred for long term management of Angina.

Presentation: Bottle of 30 tablets. Blister of 10 tablets.

Packing: 25 bottles in a carton. Box of 10x10 tablets.
