A name to reckon with

Troika’ means a Russian carriage pulled by a team of three horses. The word traces its origin to the Russian word, ‘troe’ which means a set of three. While looking for a suitable name for the company, the promoters, Dr. Ketan R Patel & his younger brother Mr. Milan R Patel, wanted it to be a metaphor for key drivers of our business – Innovation, Quality and Service

Late Mr. Rajni V. Patel

Troikaa Pharmaceuticals was founded in 1983 by Mr. Rajni .V. Patel, one of the few pharmacy graduates, of the first batch of L. M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad in 1950.

He had a rich experience of more than 40 years in the pharmaceutical industry. His steadfast vision laid the foundation to Troikaa receiving immense recognition across the globe.

Chairman & Managing Director

Dr. Ketan R. Patel

Dr. Ketan Patel brings with him, a rich experience of more than 35 years in the Pharma industry. An innovator, entrepreneur and pharmacist, he has received several gold medals for his excellence in the academic area. With several patents to his credit in the Novel Drug Delivery Systems (NDDS), including Dynapar AQ, the world’s first painless diclofenac injection, he has been a big influence at Troikaa.

He has also been instrumental in conceptualising and implementing unique in-house training modules that have built strong teams in the organisation and set up robust business management systems. Owing to Dr. Patel’s extensive contribution in the Pharmaceutical sector, the Hon’ble President of India has appointed him as a Chairperson in the first Board of Governors (BoG) of the prestigious National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), Gandhinagar.

Dr. Patel is a member of the Board of Directors at i-HUB, one of the biggest startup institutes set up by the Govt. of Gujarat. Besides, he is also closely associated with many prominent institutions like IIM, Ahmedabad, Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad and National Forensic Sciences University, Ahmedabad in various honorary capacities.

Mr. Milan R. Patel

A Chemical Engineer with specialisation in process controls and automation, Mr. Milan Patel has more than 30 years of in-depth experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality control operations. His prowess in International Regulatory requirements has led Troikaa to export its pharmaceutical products to more than 85 countries in the world.

He has been a key player in establishing various operational & management systems within the company and exercising his expertise in compliance with ‘Good Manufacturing Practices’ in manufacturing operations. He has recently been appointed as the Chairman of Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association, Gujarat State Board (IDMA-GSB) for the tenure of 2020 to 2021.

Mr. Asheel K. Patel

Mr. Asheel K. Patel has been a part of Troikaa since January 2011. He completed his B. Pharm. and M.S. in Molecular Biology & Genetics from the Virginia Commonwealth University, USA.

Mr. Asheel K. Patel has been a part of Troikaa since January 2011. He completed his B. Pharm. and M.S. in Molecular Biology & Genetics from the Virginia Commonwealth University, USA. He brings with him a rich experience of Marketing and spearheads the Marketing division at Troikaa for the Indian and International markets. A person of keen understanding, he is responsible for the development and growth of various products and brands, enhancing the reach of the company’s products around the globe. A quick learner and an out-of-the-box thinker, he always brings a fresh approach to tried and tested methods.

Mr. Nisheel K. Patel

Mr. Nisheel K. Patel joined Troikaa in June 2015. He completed his B. Pharm and MS in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Southern California, USA.

Mr. Nisheel K. Patel joined Troikaa in June 2015. He completed his B. Pharm and MS in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Southern California, USA. He brings with him a keen expertise in Immunology, Drug Delivery, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). A go-getter by nature, he jointly spearheads the Plant Quality, Operations and Research and Development divisions at Troikaa.

Mr. Kush M. Patel

Mr. Kush M. Patel has been a part of Troikaa since June 2015. He completed his B.Pharm and MS in Pharmaceutics and Drug Design from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, USA.

Mr. Kush M. Patel has been a part of Troikaa since June 2015. He completed his B.Pharm and MS in Pharmaceutics and Drug Design from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, USA. His expertise lies in Drug Delivery, Drug Design, Pharmaceutics, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Life Sciences. He is passionate about the Pharmaceuticals industry and jointly spearheads the Plant Operations, Quality and R&D divisions at Troikaa.
